Congratulations to our newly inducted human President Barack Obama!

As President of the Canine Nation, I Boomer am appointing Rocky Russell a.k.a. "Barocky" as my future successor (when he's old enough).

Of course, I must consult my BDFF(Rory) to see if Barocky can fill my paws. So far, Barocky has helped me choose the weekly movies in both the canine livingroom and doggywood. He also helped me acquire a major tennis ball contract. We will be holding our first session of the year tomorrow so please come to daycare so you can get up to date on all the happenings at the dog spa. Stay Pawsitive!

Sisterly Love - from Alabama to Atlanta!

Hi Fellow Canines,

I wanted to share a happy story with you. My BDFF--RORY(best doggie friend forever) has a new sister. Her name is Lane. She was rescued from a Puppy Mill in Alabama.Before her rescue, Lane had been living outdoors in deplorable conditions with very dirty water and she was crammed inside a wire cage with many other yorkies who were all malnourished and had no human contact.

She looks almost identical to Rory except with more blonde hair. Lane has been coming to daycare with her big Sis Rory and is really learning to socialize with canines her size. Rory and Lane even have matching coats and pajamas. They sure are lucky dogs! Thank you to Rory's parents for saving a canine life. Hello Fellow Canines,

As many of you know I'm already 7, and sometimes when I go to daycare I like to just relax and watch movies. My mom knows how lonely I get when I stay at home but also realizes that my canine body can't run like I used to when I was 2! So, she created a section of the dog spa called Golden Years. Its so awesome because its just for Senior Dogs. We have OUR OWN TV & MOVIES! We have OUR OWN COUCH! We can just lounge over in Golden Years and parents can still log onto the webcams and watch us as we reminisce about our puppy days! If you want to come to daycare or even sleep over here while you are boarding, come visit me soon in our new Seniors Section!

We even get massages from Aunt Stephanie!

New Pictures - and Cesar Millan!

Hey everyone! We finally got our Thanksgiving pictures up! After some technical difficulties, they're now up and ready to be viewed by all you proud parents Just go to Photos, then Thanksgiving Fun '08 to see how much fun we had over the holiday!

My mom got to go see someone named Cesar Millan. I'm not sure who he is but my mom says he's the "Dog Whisperer". I'm not sure why it's "Whisperer" and not "Barker" . . . ??? She took Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Jorge with her, and all 3 of them have been RAVING about it ever since! Apparently the guy is not only great at what he does, but also quite funny! I'm not sure how they heard him with all that whispering . . .

Oh, and just a note to all my friends who want to come and play over the holidays - don't forget to give my mom a call soon!!!

Turkey Day Fun!

Hey there, everyone! My friends and I had a BLAST over Thanksgiving weekend! We got to run and play all day and night, mostly inside because it was so cold. I had some of my extra people friends come over so we could all have a chaperone and there wouldn't be too many of us in one space, so we had TONS of room to romp around! And when the sun was high, we'd all get to go outside and roll in the grass - a canine family pasttime! Try as I might, I couldn't convince anyone to give us turkey OR dressing. Though we all dreamed about it. Ahhhhhh . . . . dressing.

Meet Our new Groomer, Jessica!!!

Hey guys! I just wanted to let everybody know that someone new has joined our team! Her name is Jessica, and boy is she nice! She's a groomer and has a good background - she had to pass some set of tests to be good enough for MY mom!!! The other people that work here like her a lot, and I do, too. She gave my old buddy Law a mini groom today and he was SO excited after he was done! She even cut my friend Casey's hair and he looks like a whole new man! She's here every day but Saturday (that means Sundays, too!), so you can come and meet her any time! And don't be shy - feel free to just say hi!

I give her two paws up!

Our Animal Planet Episode is Set to Air!!!

Some of you may recall our visit from Animal Planet awhile back. Filming was taking place for the popular show, "It's Me or the Dog", starring Victoria Stillwell, renowned dog trainer! The show has moved from the UK to the US, and came to us looking for a Spa environment for "Sydney", a jack russell terrier who was having issues with her new step-brother, "Sam", a chocolate lab. While at the Spa, "Sam" participated in daycare to get some energy out and socialize with new friends under Jorge's supervision, and "Sydney" received a therapeutic canine massage from Stephanie, hoping to help ease some of her anxiety. The episode is now set to air at 9pm on Saturday, November 15th. Don't miss it!!!

Investigations into Fulton County Animal Shelter!

Everyone! We have been keeping track of investigations and allegations from former employees of the Fulton County Animal Shelter. Since Barking Hound Village has taken over their management, their maximum capacity is out the window. Dogs are being released to homes with little or no information. They are being released unaltered and pregnant. Aggressive dogs are being shown favoritism by their new director, marked off the euthanization list even after KILLING other dogs!!! There has been a blatant disregard to these animals' care, not to mention local and federal laws. This haven for pets has turned into a place of torture!

Hi Everyone,

The Howl-O-Ween Party was a wonderful success! All the costumes were great and the costume contest was so much fun! Thank you to everyone who brought a food or monetary donation to help the Save Our Pets Food Bank. It was a great party for a good cause.
