Meet the Staff

We asked our staff, "Why do you work at the Atlanta Dog Spa?"... Here's what they said!

I like working at the Dog Spa because it feels more like play than work. The people here are friendly and all of the dogs make me excited to come in each day.

I truly enjoy working at Atlanta Dog Spa. I'm very passionate about dogs and just recently adopted a new puppy from the humane society. One of my favorite things about working here with the dogs is when you see how excited they are when you walk in the room, and you get to play with them all day. What other job allows you to play all day like that? I really can't wait to start bringing my puppy to work with me!

As an avid animal lover, a hands on job requiring above all else a respect for dogs was the ideal job for me. I knew from my friend Blair, a longtime employee of the Atlanta Dog Spa, that this job was great! As a full-time college student, my hours clocked in at the Dog Spa don't seem like work! We play with the dogs, care for them, and in return they love us back and are even cathartic! I envision myself here throughout my college experience and my pup Tanner will always love to come back and play!

I have a deep love for animals and have grown up with dogs my whole life. Working with dogs just makes me happy. I enjoy making them feel like they're at home, and even trying to convince them to have some fun!

Not too many people can say that they love their job, so I feel extremely blessed to work at the Atlanta Dog Spa. I love working here! I enjoy making dogs happy because they do the same for me. I look forward to every day of work where I get to play with all of the dogs. Every dog has his/her own unique and distinct personality and its a joy getting to know them. Taking care of dogs is a huge passion of mine and I enjoy every second of being with them. I can't think of a mopre wonderful place to work than here!

Working at the Atlanta Dog Spa isn't like any other job. I come to work and have fun and actually want to be here. The dogs will always make me smile no matter how hard the day is. I also get to bring my canine son, Parker, to work with me and he's growing up here with his pupppy friends.

I love working at Atlanta Dog Spa! I grew up on a farm so I am used to having alot of animals to love and take care of on a daily basis. Now I have a great job where I actually get paid to play with dogs all day! Plus, all the love you receive from the dogs everyday is priceless. And for the first time in my life I can take my dog to work with me. I love it!

Almost all my life I was surrounded by animals. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, etc, and it made me want to study Veterinary Science and raise labs in my country, Peru. Now I have the opportunity to work with dogs: actually, it is not like you are working, because you like what you do. The dogs are amazing and every time that you see their faces, you can tell if they are happy, sad, or in pain; if you learn how to read that you could be the next Cesar. I'm very happy that I can work here with them, and the excellent people around.

I love working at the Atlanta Dog Spa mainly because everyone there shares the passion and love for dogs that I have.  When i was in second grade my family adopted a puppy named Shammie and she was the best gift anyone could ever give. She taught me so many of life lessons and she is one of the many reasons why i went into the industry of animal care. Sadly she passed away at age 18 and thats  I decided to devote my life and make a career out of working with dogs and eventually becoming a dog trainer and groomer. Working here at Atlanta Dog Spa is like a dream come true no job could ever be more rewarding then loving the animals and taking care of them.

Although I've always had an affinity to animals, especially dogs and cats, it wasn't until my cocker-boy Jonathan crossed the Rainbow Bridge that I started thinking about working with animals. Before moving from PA to GA, I worked part time as a bather at the groomers that cut Jonathan's hair, and volunteered at PAWS playing with and helping to socialize cats.

After moving to GA, I worked at a kennel, but quit because of the way the dogs were being treated (money, instead of the dogs, was their bottom line). I saw an ad for the Dog Spa, checked out the website, and applied. By the end of my volunteer day, I knew most of the dogs in the big dog yard. It didn't take long before I could recognize and name the dogs by sight. I love the way their eyes light up when I walk onto the yard, and how they come over to greet me. For me, it's a joy. I love them as I would my own. Each and every one of them is an individual, and each has a story to tell. All we have to do is be open to "hear" them.

For me, this is more than just a job. It is an adventure. There is never a dull moment!

Dogs are the smartest, cutest, most loving animals in the world. They truly are man's best friend. Who wouldn't want to be in a room filled with their best friends?

Working at the Atlanta Dog Spa is lots of fun. I get to work and play with spunky pups all day. Its definitely one of the most fulfilling jobs I've had.  My dogs get to come to work with me!
